VTB = VOA Team Balancer
VTB is based off the PTBx and ETB plugins.
Unfortunately, PTBx and ETB are no longer in development. We were lucky enough to receive a copy of the PTBx source code, however. As many of you know, PTBx was the best team balancer available for source. PTBx has been broken for about six months. ETB also had some interesting features. We'll integrate both into VTB.
Once we develop a stable version of VTB, we'll be making a public version available for the community to use. Check back often!
- 5/21/07 reviewing PTBx source, downloaded source SDK
- 5/28/07 project officially changed to VTB
- 5/28/07 installed source SDK and linked most of the libraries
- 5/29/07 missing one critical header. Contacted original author, awaiting response.
- 6/16/07 still no word -- sending another e-mail. Sadly, this project can not continue with out this much needed help.
- 7/1/07 Without further delay I'm switching the project to Mattie's Event Scripts! It's well documented enough to get this working.
- 7/10/07 Using the ES Tools library to recode this plugin.
- 7/11/07 The ES Tools plugin is going to be required for VTB to work.
- 7/15/07 A beta test of VTB is drawing near. Still bug testing!!!
- 7/17/07 Official VTB testing is beginning on our public server.
- 7/18/07 There is no download available at this time. After we test this enough (on cs.voanet.com), I'll release the VOA Team Balancer plugin for everyone to use.
- 7/26/07 Version .08 beta is in use on our server. Some bugs with the autobuy and rebuy have been worked out in this version. One step closer for a full public release!
VTB version 0.08 beta Features
- Ability to switch Alive or Dead Players
- A cash reward will be issued to players who get swapped!
- Alive players will become IMMUNE when switched so that free kills can not be obtained by sneaky players
- Tweakable settings -- can turn switching frequency up or down
- Players will not repeatedly get switched. They will be safe for x (configurable) rounds.
- Autobuy and Rebuy now work correctly
